A middle-aged man was found dead after being run over by a train in Kibra, Nairobi. His body was badly mutilated, with his legs amputated and multiple head injuries.
Police said residents spotted the body on the railway line in the Kibera 42 area on Tuesday and alerted authorities.
It was later confirmed that a commuter train traveling from Nairobi Central Railway Station to Limuru ran over the man.
Witnesses said he was lying across the tracks as the train approached.
The reason for the incident is unclear, but police are investigating possible suicide. The body was taken to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.
