3Es Experience partnered with Strathmore University to host a workshop to equip students with the skills and knowledge to drive sustainable change in their communities.
The workshop focused on environmental conservation, sustainable development, and community empowerment and targeted the students as key drivers of future environmental policies. According to Vivian Kemboi, founder and executive director of 3Es Experience, the initiative recognizes students’ role in shaping sustainability efforts and promises more engagements with students nationwide.
Strathmore University, a recognized leader in African green initiatives, was chosen as a partner due to its strong commitment to sustainability. The institution’s energy efficiency, conservation policies, and student-led implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) made it an ideal collaborator.
During the workshop, students engaged in discussions, developed innovative solutions to environmental challenges, and participated in hands-on sustainability projects. Strathmore’s emphasis on work-based and community-based learning further strengthened the initiative’s impact.
The workshop further empowered students with tools to incorporate sustainability into their academic, professional, and personal lives. It set the stage for future initiatives to nurture environmentally conscious leaders committed to long-term positive change.
