In one of the villages of Kibra slum, Nairobi lives a woman named Esther Nduko who has been blind since the early 2000s. Her blindness was caused by medical negligence in a known hospital in Kenya. Despite her state, Nduko has managed to champion the rights of women living in the slums.
With Covid19 disrupting lives across Kibra, Esther has managed to continue with her work of mentoring women despite her joblessness. Our journalist Henix Obochunju managed to have sitting with Mrs. Nduko after attending one of the mentorship programs. Listen in
